Nanotech Material Engineering – MasterBatches
The plastics industry is constantly evolving and STC’s nanomaterials play a crucial role in that evolution. STC’s masterbatches are solid or liquid additives that are used to improve the performance characteristics of plastics. Compared to immersion or coating nanomaterials, the masterbatches developed by STC Nanotech are environmentally friendly.
Through their super-high surface area ratio, particles of average size 30 nanometers and under function as catalysts and/or create new polymerization pathways that support a streamlined production process or impart new performance characteristics.

In order to use the optical process, the plastic injection masterbatches developed by STC Optical and Chemical use plasma deposition to achieve an even uniform coating. Can currently be used with polyethelene (PE), polycarbonate (PC), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and more.
